We are blessed to have a strong, dedicated staff at Grangeville Nazarene. Each one of them is committed to helping our church family grow in their faith and deepen their relationships with God. 

 

Our Team

Associate Pastor Mary J. Bales

It has been a joy to serve, the past four years, on staff at Grangeville Nazarene. As the Associate Pastor I interact and share Christ’s love with many people in the congregation and the community. My ministry is focused on children and community outreach. I have twenty years’ of experience teaching and administering programs in early childhood and Christian education. I am currently enrolled in a course of online studies at NNU and with the Nazarene Northwest District. I have been married to my husband Tim for 42 years. Tim and I moved to Grangeville in 2008 and joined this church soon after that. We have three grown children; Amy, Stephanie and Timothy. Along with them come our treasured grandchildren Ruby, 4, Blake, 10, Ian 12 and David 13. We enjoy our time with
family watching college basketball, camping, fishing, and playing games.

 

What we Believe as Nazarenes

As part of the Church of the Nazarene denomination, we are a Great Commission church. The Church of the Nazarene is a global community of faith that takes seriously Jesus’ commision to take the Good News of life in Jesus Christ to people everywhere and to spread the message of scriptural holiness across lands.

WE BELIEVE in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

WE BELIEVE that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living

WE BELIEVE that human beings are born with a fallen nature, and are, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.

WE BELIEVE that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.

WE BELIEVE that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.

 

WE BELIEVE that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.

WE BELIEVE that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
